Firoz Alom ,Bauphal upazila correspondent: A leader of Patuakhali District Awami League's negative statement about EVM and violation of code of conduct did not receive the investigation report. The by-election for the post of Chairman of Nazirpur Taterkathi Union of Bauphal was postponed. Even though the election has been postponed, the attacks are not stopping. The incident took place on Thursday (July 28) around 7:30 pm at Feroz's own shop in Dhandi Bazar of Nazirpur Union of the upazila. Later, the locals rescued him with serious injuries and admitted him to the Upazila Health Complex. Even before the postponement of the by-election, independent candidate Mohsin and several of his supporters were attacked. On the other hand, one boat pratika worker who was injured in the election violence died after ten days under treatment.
According to local sources and the family of the injured, since the announcement of the schedule for the Nazirpur union by-election in Bauphal there was tension between the supporters of the boat and the independent candidate Chashma Markar. On the evening of the incident, Feroz Matbar was closing his shop, in such a situation boat marker worker Md.
