Motorcycles to prevent drug abuse in Akhaura thought of imposing restrictions on movement

Moynul Bhuiyan Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Most of the people who come to consume drugs in Brahmanbaria Akhaura are from the district headquarters. They came to Akhaura by motorcycle and took drugs and left again. The situation is getting worse day by day. This information was presented in the law and order committee meeting held in Akhaura on Wednesday morning. In view of this, the people concerned said that the movement of motorcycles will be strictly enforced. It is also being thought to set up checkpoints and conduct searches especially on the main roads coming from the district headquarters. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Angyajai Marma at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Upazila Parishad Chairman Abul Kashem Bhuia, Upazila Awami League President Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, Assistant Commissioner (V.M) Prashant Chakraborty, Akhaura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asadul Islam, Birmuktijoddha Jamsed Shah, Akhaura Press Club President spoke among others. . Manik Mia, upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Himel Khan and others. A head teacher said in the law and order meeting that the students of his school have difficulty in movement due to drugs. The head teacher of another school said that the students are not able to study properly due to the garbage of the municipality.
