Rajbari at 646 families will receive gifts from  Prime Minister


Md. Kabir Hossain, Rajbari: Rajbari at 646 families will receive gifts from the Prime Minister . After the inauguration on 21st July, the families will get the key to their gift house.
Deputy Commissioner Abu Qaiser Khan said in a press briefing held at Rajbari district administration conference room on Tuesday (July 19th) on the occasion of providing houses for all the landless and homeless people of the country on the occasion of Mujib Barsh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s announcement ‘not a single person in Bangladesh will remain homeless. In continuation of this, on the occasion of Mujib Barsha, landless and homeless people are being rehabilitated. Previously, 760 plots in the first phase, 430 plots in the second phase and 2 percent of land have been transferred among each beneficiary.
On April 24, 286 houses along with land were handed over in the first phase of the third phase. He also said that a total of 646 houses including 45 in Rajbari Sadar Upazila, 200 in Pangsha Upazila, 12 in Kalukhali Upazila, 220 in Baliakandi Upazila, 169 in Goalanda Upazila have been prepared for the inauguration on July 21. Kalukhali upazila will be declared as ‘A’ class landless and homeless free upazila.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Jayanthi Rupa Roy, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Marzia Sultana, Goaland Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Zakir Hossain and local journalists were present at the press briefing.
