Bhola district correspondent: From today, the electricity authority of the government of Bangladesh has announced to carry out area-based load-shedding or stopping the supply of electricity across the country. It has also been decided that petrol pumps will be closed one day a week.
The government of Bangladesh has announced this decision with the aim of saving energy in the context of increasing prices of fuel oil and gas worldwide.
Last Monday, Prime Minister’s Energy Adviser Tawfiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury informed about these decisions and said that these initiatives have been taken by the government to reduce losses in fuel oil.
In continuation of that, the ongoing unbearable power outages due to Borhanuddin West Zone Power Distribution Company (Ojapadico), fraudulent bills, customer harassment, rude behavior of the officials and employees working in the billing branch and the government’s current supply of electricity to the public , the quality of customer service properly. To confirm, a public hearing was held on the ongoing situation.
This public hearing was organized at Borhanuddin (Ojapadiko) electricity service center on July 19th (Tuesday) at 10 am. Md Feroze Sanyamat Resident Engineer Borhanuddin (Ojapadiko) answered the various questions of the customers regarding electricity supply among the people as the chief guest.
The public hearing was attended by Borhanuddin Power Supply (Ojapadico) Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Roknuzzaman, Md. Humayun Kabir, Borhanuddin Town No. 4 Ward Commissioner Md. Salahuddin Panchayat, Togbi Union Parishad Chairman Md. Jasim Uddin Howlader and various professionals of the society participated in this public hearing meeting.
