Beat policing meeting held at Akhaura

Moynul Bhuiyan Brahmanbaria Correspondent: A beat policing meeting was held at Akhaura in Brahmanbaria. The meeting was held on Sunday (July 17) afternoon in Chota Kuripika Kwar Par Bazar of South Union of the upazila. Under the chairmanship of Khatib Maulana Kabir Ahmed Siddiqui of Chhota Kuripaika Central Jame Masjid and moderated by Deputy Inspector of Akhaura Police Station Md Chalek, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kasba Akhaura (Circle) Kamrul Islam was present as the chief guest, Inspector Investigation of Akhaura Police Station Sanjay Kumar Sarkar was present as a special guest. . Among others, brave freedom fighter Abdul Wahab, President of Akhaura Television Journalist Association Md. Saiful Islam, Acting General Editor of South Union Awami League Md. Majnu Mia, President of Akhaura Upazila Press Club Rubel Ahmed and others spoke. Chief Guest Assistant Superintendent of Police Kasba Akhaura (Circle) Kamrul Islam said in his speech that the beat policing activities are continuing to provide services to the people as soon as possible and above all to stabilize the overall law and order situation in the area. Apart from the regular activities of Beat Policing, Beat Policing officers are working to make people aware by organizing anti-terror and drug abuse and anti-women violence meetings. He also promised that the Beat Policing activities will continue to serve the masses as expected by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the ‘people’s police’. Other speakers in the meeting praised and thanked the police for its effective role in combating terrorism-militancy, violence against women, eviction, child marriage and cybercrime. At that time people from different classes and professions were present in that area.
