Celebrating the founding anniversary of A’League in Patuakhali

Patuakhali Correspondent: The 70th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, one of the oldest and traditional political parties of the subcontinent has been celebrated in Patuakhali through various events.
The national flag and party flag were hoisted at the party office of the district Awami League on Thursday (June 23) at 8 am on the occasion of the founding anniversary. At 8:10 am, a wreath was laid at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
District Awami League President Kazi Alamgir Hossain, General Secretary VP Abdul Mannan, Patuakhali District Council Administrator Khalilur Rahman Mohan, Co-President Sultan Ahmed Mridha, Shahjahan Khan, Sadar Upazila Chairman Golam Sarwar, former Upazila Chairman Advocate Tariquzzaman Moni and other Awami League members were present at the time. Leaders and workers of allied organizations. Later, a colorful procession started, went around different roads of the city and ended at the Bangabandhu Mural adjacent to the RAB camp. A large number of leaders and activists of various organizations including district Awami League, Juba League and Chhatra League laid wreaths at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 8:30 am. Besides, there is a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil on the occasion of the founding anniversary at the district Awami League office at 7:15 pm.
