Sheikh Hasina sent mangoes to new Chief Minister of Tripura


Moynul Bhuiyan: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent 800 kg of mangoes of various varieties including Amrapali as gifts to the new Chief Minister of Tripura state of India Manik Saha and dignitaries of the state. The mangoes were sent to Tripura in 160 cartons through Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria at 12.45 pm on Monday. The mangoes were received at the zero line of Agartala land port by Arif Mohammad, Assistant High Commissioner, Agartala, Tripura. Shoaib Trade International Customs of Akhaura Land Port has completed all the activities for sending the mangoes. Rajib Uddin Bhuiyan, proprietor of Shoaib Trade International, said the mangoes were sent through an organization in Dhaka. The ancillary works of Akhaura land port were completed through his organization and the mangoes were handed over to the Assistant High Commissioner. Earlier on Sunday night, the mangoes reached Akhaura land port. Arif Mohammad, Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner in Agartala, said the Prime Minister sends such gifts every year. This is a sign of friendly and spiritual relations between the two countries.
