Journalist Shahidul Haque,  father of five BCS cadres, is pride of Muradnagar


Md. Khorshed Alam:  He is a heroic freedom fighter who also won the struggle of life. Md. Shahidul Haque (75), son of late Shamsul Haque of Baira village in Muradnagar upazila of Comilla. At present, this freedom fighter lives in his house in Madrasapara of Debidwar municipal town. He has succeeded in every field of life and has shown the way to success to his children. Developed as his successor, who is well educated today. Five of Shahidul Haque’s 4 sons and 3 daughters are BCS cadres, the other two are an advocate and another is a doctor. Md. Shahidul Haque Baira was the principal of MA College. He has also worked for a long time as a Muradnagar correspondent for a national newspaper. He was the founding president of Muradnagar Press Club. Besides, he has twice served as the director of District Palli Bidyut Samiti-1. Md. Shahidul Haque’s eldest son Md. Nomanul Haque Supreme Court Advocate, second child Raihana Kali Narayanganj Adamji Nagar MW College Assistant Professor, third child. Nazmul Haque working as the director of the Prime Minister’s Office, the fourth child. Naimul Haque Cox’s Bazar 14 APBN Armed Police Battalion Commander (Police Super), fifth child Dr. Rumana Kanta is currently in America, sixth child Md. Nadimul Haque is a lecturer at Titumir College and his seventh child Rukhsana Kona is working as a research officer in the Department of Secondary and Higher Education. In this regard, Md. Nadimul Haque said, thinking about our education, my father left his job in a private company in Chittagong and moved to Comilla. Dad didn’t give up on education at all. Without Dad, we brothers and sisters might not be able to come to this stage today. Dad is a banyan tree to us.
