Water of Padma river is rising in Faridpur

Khan Md. A. Majid Faridpur : Several districts of the country including Sylhet and northern region are affected by floods. This time the water of Padma is increasing in Faridpur. As a result, chars and lowlands have started flooding. .In the last 24 hours, the water level in Goaland Point of Padma has increased by 36 cm. The Padma, Madhumati, Arialkhan and Kumar rivers of the district have started flooding the low lying areas including the char areas.
However, Perth Pratim Saha, executive engineer of Faridpur Water Development Board (PAUBO), said the level of danger in Faridpur was 8.65 cm. The water was flowing at 7.52 cm till Saturday evening. .The water level has risen by 0.2 cm till Sunday (June 19) morning. Which is normal speed.He said the water level in Faridpur was suddenly rising. The water level in Padma, Madhumati and Arialkhan rivers of Faridpur is increasing every day. .In the last 24 hours, the water level in Padma has increased by 36 cm.”Everything is normal so far,” he added. If it continues like this, there is no big risk.
