Anwar Sadat Jahangir: Prof. Dr. Gazi Hasan Kamal, Chairman of Mymensingh Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, with his small number of manpower and equipment in two rented houses in Khagdahar area of the city, trampled on the global epidemic Corona disaster. Not by establishing the Board of Education but by raising the status of the Board to a unique height he was able to draw the attention of the people.
Dr. Gazi Hasan Kamal was born on 10 January 1975 in Sadar upazila of Mymensingh district. After overcoming the misfortunes of childhood and adolescence, Bindubasini Government High School in Tangail district had the distinction of passing the secondary examination in 1981 and the higher secondary examination in 1983 with distinction in the first division. . He holds an MS degree from the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (IHSS). As a member of the 14th BCS Education Cadre, he started his career in 1993 as a Lecturer in Economics at Begum Rokeya College. Due to his efficiency, sincerity and passion for the profession, the Department of Education honored him with the promotion of Assistant Professor in 2001, Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2013. He is a proud member of the Institute of Bangladesh Studies. He received his PhD from IBS in 2006. From 2015-2016, he served as the Vice Principal of the Government Anandamohan College with a reputation.
He was elected General Secretary of the Teachers’ Council four times while he was the Head of the Department of Economics and Vice-Principal of the College. As the chief coordinator of the centenary celebrations of the college, he presented a fascinating and successful program under his strong leadership. Received multiple trainings from NAB, National University, Ministry of Planning and DSHE at different times of his career. His four notable research articles have been published in reputed national and international journals. He takes the opinions of well-known colleagues in teamwork seriously and evaluates them. According to his colleagues, hard work and time at work seem trivial due to Sir’s encouragement. During his education he was a member of Cab Scout and Rover Scout. He is the Chairman of Scout in Mymensingh area. He is very important and caring. He visited New Zealand, Australia, India, Singapore and Malaysia to enrich the education system in the country. Prof. Dr. Gazi Hasan Kamal joined as the Chairman of the newly established Mymensingh Board of Education on 31st December, 2016. He is an honorary secretary of the Muslim Institute of Mymensingh. He is very kind and always works selflessly for his colleagues and students. He is especially proud to be able to provide services in the field of public welfare education. Conscious civil society thinks that Mymensingh Board of Education will be able to bring more surprises to the results if its own establishment is equipped with necessary manpower and equipment.
