Moynul Bhuiyan, Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Twenty-two people have been detained from Wednesday morning to noon on charges of casting fake votes during the Natai Dakshin Union Parishad polls in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila. They are in the process of being arraigned in a mobile court. However, their names were not immediately known.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Emranul Islam said 22 people were detained while trying to cast fake votes at various centers. Among them, seven were detained from Chhotaharan Government Primary School polling station in Natai South Union, four from Government Primary School in Narsingh and 11 from Abdul Haq Academy polling station. He said they were in the process of being produced in a mobile court.
