Brahmanbaria Correspondent: A man named Kaikobad Prakash (Kubbat) has been arrested by the police for selling stolen beef at Akhaura in Brahmanbaria. The detainee is the son of Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan of Chhota Kuripaika area of ​​Upazila Dakshin Union and nephew of Abul Kashem Bhuiyan. Police arrested him on Monday (June 13th) morning while he was selling stolen beef at a large market in the city. According to the locals, Md. Farid Miah of Chhota Kuripaika village in South UP of Akhaura Upazila stole the cows at night and after slaughtering them, the meat was taken to Kaikobad to be sold in the big market of the municipality. At that time, the police of Akhaura police station arrested the youth along with the meat. Md. Faisal Mia of Kuripaika village said that Kaikobad and one of his accomplices stole the cows from the barn and slaughtered them at around 3 pm. He also said that the estimated price of the cow is around 60 thousand rupees. Akhaura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said that during a patrol this morning, the police got information and arrested Kaikobad along with the stolen beef. A case of theft is pending against him, and there are four other cases against him, including a drug case.
