Police-Magistracy Conference at Moulvibazar Chief Judicial Magistrate Court

Mashahid Ahmed, Moulvibazar: A police-magisterial conference has been held at the initiative of the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court of Moulvibazar district. The conference was presided over by Chief Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ali Ahsan and was attended by Moulvibazar Additional Superintendent of Police Sudarshan Kumar Roy, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sarkar Hasan Shahriar, Senior Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Jaglul Haque, Begum Muminunnisa Khan, Begum Hosne Ara Begum, Judicial Magistrate M. Mizbah Ur Rahman and Mohammad Ziaul Haq. Wise Assistant Judge Muminul Haque, Divisional Forest Officer, Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Department Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Wise President of District Bar Association ASM Azadur Rahman, Wise Additional Public Prosecutor Kripasindhu Das, Resident Medical Officer, 250-bed General Hospital Dr. Ahmed Faisal Zaman, Jail Superintendent, Assistant Director, Department of Environment; Divisional Forest Officer, Representative Range Officer of Forest Department, Sylhet, Company Commander RAB-9 Srimangal Camp Representative DAD. Sector Commander BGB Headquarters Srimangal Representative, Assistant Director Inspector Drug Control Department, Court Police Inspector, PBI Representative Inspector, CID Representative Inspector and officers in charge of various police stations and intelligence branches of the district. At the beginning of the conference, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sarkar Hasan Shahriar delivered the welcome address with the kind permission of wise Chief Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Ali Ahsan. He thanked all those present at the conference and in his welcome address gave details of the case of Moulvibazar Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court and the details of pending warrants of different police stations. Everyone present, including the wise magistrates, expressed satisfaction that the attendance rate of witnesses in the court was higher than before. However, he expressed concern over non-dispatch and non-submission of timely investigation report in such cases.
