6 arrested by DB for looting 75,000 eggs including 3 from Trishal


Anwar Sadat Jahangir: Detective Branch (DB) has arrested six robbers in connection with the looting of 75,000 eggs at Bhaluka in Mymensingh. District Detective Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam confirmed the information in a press release on Saturday (June 11).
The arrested have been identified as Khorshed Hossain Jewel (39) of Varadoba area of ​​Bhalukar, Sumon Mia (20), Abdus Samad (31) of the same area, Abu Raihan (22) of Gopalpur area of ​​Trishal, Enamul Haque Prabhat (23) of Gujiam village and Sohag Ali of Alhari village. 30).Earlier on Friday (June 10), they were arrested in different areas of Mymensingh and Gazipur districts.Shafiqul Islam said a trader was carrying 75,000 eggs in a pickup on the night of May 29. On the way to Bhalukar Varadoba area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, the bandits, who were waiting in ambush from the east, stopped the pickup and picked up the driver-helper in another vehicle. Later, they went to the signboard area, unloaded all the eggs from the pickup and left them on the side of the road with the pickup.
The next day, when the businessman filed a case, the police used information technology and arrested him along with the private car used for robbery and the sale of eggs at a cost of Tk 112,000. They were later sent to jail through the court.
