Moynul Bhuiyan:Import and export activities through Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria have been suspended due to strike called by C&F agents. At least five cargo trucks were stranded at the Akhaura land port on Tuesday (June 6th) morning due to a strike called by the Bangladesh Federation of C&F Agents Association. Imports and exports are also being hampered by the strike, which is hampering the export of goods worth at least 300,000 lac.
Forkan Ahmed Khalifa, general secretary of the C&F Agents Association of Akhaura Land Port, said the National Board of Revenue’s controversial anti-fundamental rights Customs Agents Licensing Rules-2020 and the HS Code and CPC are being amended. Today, the strike will continue all day across the country.
