Moynul Bhuiyan: A mobile court has fined two cottage mills in Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria, Tk 20,000 for violating environmental laws. The mobile court was conducted in Ashuganj Alamnagar area of ​​the upazila on Thursday morning. Ashuganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Arvind Biswas conducted the mobile court. Ashuganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Arvind Biswas said the waste, waste and ash of Bhai Bhai Auto Rice Mill and Sarkar Auto Rice Mill in Almanagar of the upazila are being released into the air without any treatment. This is causing damage to the environment on the one hand and on the other hand the passengers traveling on the Ashuganj-Talshahar road are being harmed by the fall of sawdust, ash and mill waste. Due to which, the owners of Bhai Bhai Auto Rice Mill and Sarkar Auto Rice Mill were fined Tk 10,000 each under the Environment Act. In addition, they are given a month to set up the TNT plant so that waste and ash do not get into the air. They have been warned that large fines will be imposed otherwise.
