Patients received gifts of trees


Moynul Bhuiyan: A free eye treatment camp was held in Nasirnagar, Brahmanbaria on Tuesday. The service was organized by Lions Club of Shantinagar Navana, Dhaka-District-315B-1 in collaboration with Dharmandal Jagrat Youth Development Council, Chagir Munshi and Joygunnesa Welfare Trust. District Governor Shahena Rahman inaugurated the service program as the chief guest at Kauser Chowdhury Model Academy premises in Dharmandal village of the upazila. Tree saplings are given as gifts to the patients who come for treatment. District Governor Lion Sharif Ali Khan, Cabinet Treasurer Mir Shafiqul Alam Konak, Ashiquzzaman Chowdhury Emon, Lion Firoz Ahmed, Dr. Mesbah Uddin Chowdhury. Five doctors serve about three hundred men and women throughout the day. Of these, 97 patients were selected for cataract surgery. During this time, school bags and tree saplings were distributed among 200 students and men and women who came for eye treatment as gifts.
