Fintech seminar held at BHBFC

Won Reporter: On May 29, Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBBFC) organized an important seminar on Fintech. The seminar was held at the auditorium of the Training Institute, the headquarters of the institute in the capital at 3 pm. Chairman of the Board of Directors of BHBFC and eminent academician Prof. Md. Selim Uddin, FCA, FCMA inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest and presented its keynote address and conducted important sessions. BHBFC Managing Director Mr. Afzal Karim delivered the welcome address as the special guest at the inaugural function and conducted an important session. Mr. Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director of the organization conducted a session as one of the resource persons. A total of 50 officers including the General Managers of the Corporation and the Deputy General Managers of the Departments participated directly in the seminar. Officers of all levels including managers of all field offices of the organization were engaged in the virtual seminar. General Manager Pralay Kumar Bhattacharya presided over the inaugural function of the seminar. The chief guest and keynote speaker at the seminar. He described the fintech process as one of the most important issues currently being discussed in the seminar and emphasized on bringing traditional financial services under the purview of technology and bringing it to the doorsteps of the people. He noted the need to keep abreast of global developments in the banking and financial services system, including raising awareness on fintech and working at the public-private level. In his speech, the Managing Director called for getting acquainted with the silent revolution in fintech technology as well as for advancing oneself and the organization with this technology.
