Abdul Motaleb, Noakhali Correspondent : The triennial conference of Noakhali Sadar Upazila branch of Bangladesh Teachers Association (BTA), a centenary and ancient organization, was held at District Shilpakala Academy on Thursday. Professor AKM Selim Chowdhury, Principal of Senbagh Government College, inaugurated the conference at 9:30 am on the open stage of Shilpakala Academy in the presence of more than 500 teachers of Sadar Upazila. After the inauguration, Harunur Rashid, Convener of the Conference Preparatory Committee and General Secretary of Sadar Teachers Branch of Bangladesh Teachers Association gave a welcome speech in the hall of Shilpakala Academy under the chairmanship of ABM Abdul Alim. Principal Md. Shahjahan (Secretary Bakbishis) Noakhali District Branch, Md. Moazzem Hussain Principal Sonapur College, Shamima Akter Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Md. Abul Kashem President (BTA) Noakhali District Branch, Muhammad Alamgir Secretary (BTA) spoke as special guests. Speakers, including the district branch and the chief guest, demanded immediate nationalization of secondary education in order to eliminate inequality in education. After the conference, voting for the next leadership election of Bangladesh Teachers Association Sadar Upazila Branch was held at Harinarayanpur Union High School Center.
