Anwar Sadat Jahangir: Dr. Dipu Moni MP, Minister in charge of the Ministry of Education, started his speech on the occasion of the 16th University Day of ZakkanEB, which commemorates the greatest son of the Bengali nation Bangabandhu with deep respect and love. The minister spoke to reporters after laying the foundation stone of six projects at the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Trishal, Mymensingh, on Wednesday (May 11) at 3pm. Dipu Moni further said that Awami League is an election party, a democratic party. Apart from elections, the Awami League has never been in charge of running the country. Therefore, we hope that the next election will be a free, fair and transparent election with the participation of all parties, Insha Allah. And all parties including BNP will take part in it.
Earlier at 2.30 pm, the Minister of Education was welcomed on the campus of the University through tribal dance. After the Guard of Honor, the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni and the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Soumitra Shekhar laid a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu and Poet Nazrul. After laying the foundation stone of the project, the Education Minister took part in the discussion meeting of the 16th University Day as the chief guest. University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Soumitra Shekhar was the special guest in the meeting. ASM Maqsood Kamal, Planning Commission member Prof. Md. Kawsar Ahmed and University Treasurer Prof. Md. Jalal Uddin.
Registrar agriculturist said. Mayor of Trishal Municipality ABM Anishuzzaman delivered the welcome address at the function conducted by Humayun Kabir. Chairman of Mymensingh Board of Education Prof. Dr. Gazi Hasan Kamal was present at the occasion.
