DHAKA, – The physical condition of Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wahida Khanam, who is undergoing treatment at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital (NINH), has improved.

Asked whether the UNO is out of danger, he said, “It is difficult to say that she is out of danger. But all parameters of her health have improved much”.

About the right hand which was critically injured, the doctor said Wahida’s hand condition remained unchanged. “But physiotherapy is continuing. After completing the physiotherapy, it can be said how much the hand condition improves,” Dr Zahed added.

Replying to another query, he said, “We are thinking of shifting her to a bed from High Dependency Unit. The decision to shift her to a cabin will be taken tomorrow and the medical board will take the decision,” he said.
