Bangabandhu Square inaugurated in Savar

Kamrul Hassan Rubel: The Father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founder of Bangladesh’s independence, who has a huge existence everywhere in the( 56000  ) Thousands of square miles of Bangladesh, if he would not have been born Bangladesh could not become as an independent-sovereign territory. A mural and fountain-building work has been inaugurated in memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, holding the spirit of liberation war in Savar. The Minister of state for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Enamur Rahman inaugurated this mural and fountain construction work at the Press Club of Abul Kashem Sandeep Road (Thana Road) in Savar on Wednesday.Bangabandhu Chattar was named after the inauguration of this mural. Earlier, at the inauguration ceremony, Minister of State for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Enamur Rahman said that “there are sculptures and murals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu in various places throughout Bangladesh. But even though we are so close to the capital we did not have it here. Today, the construction work of the mural and fountain of Bangabandhu has been inaugurated and the construction work will be completed within the next one month,” he added. Among others, Municipal Mayor Alhaj Abdul Gani, International sculpture artist Mrinal Haque, Savar Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Yasmin Akhter Sumi, Joint General Secretary of Dhaka District Awami League Ashraf Hossain Chowdhury Masud and Municipal panel mayor and councilor Manik Mollah were also present. Besides, there were ordinary people from all walks of life including freedom fighters who participated in the Great War of Liberation, public representatives, party leaders, and journalists.
After the inauguration of Bangabandhu’s murals and fountains, a campaign to dispel mosquitoes in various wards started in Savar municipality’s initiative to help prevent dengue outbreak. State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman (MP) was present during the meeting.
