Divisional commissioner and deputy commissioner will be given the returning officer of 16 seats in Chittagong for the eleventh parliamentary election. Yesterday election commission secretary Helaluddin Ahmed recruited them through a circular. After the EC Secretary’s Circular, District Administration Mohammad Ilias Hossain issued a public statement.
District administration sources said that the deputy commissioner will be the Returning Officer of 10 seats in Chittagong’s 16 constituencies. As well as the Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO) will be deputy assistant returning officer. However, in some election areas, the Assistant Commissioner (Land) will perform these duties.

According to the public statement, candidates of Chittagong-1, Chittagong-2, Chittagong-3, Chittagong-6, Chittagong-7, Chittagong-12, Chittagong-13, Chittagong-14, Chittagong-15 and Chittagong-16 seats Collect and submit nomination papers.
Chittagong-4, Chittagong-5, Chittagong-8, Chittagong-9, Chittagong-10 and Chittagong-11 will collect and submit nomination papers from the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.
It has been said that candidates will be able to collect and submit their nomination papers from 9am to 5pm till 19th November, at the Returning Officer or Assistant Returning Officer’s office. However, nomination papers will be collected and deposited in the office of assistant commissioner (land) at Satkania.
According to the schedule announced, the elections for the eleventh parliamentary elections will be held on 23 December. The deadline for submission of nomination papers is 19 November, on November 22, and withdrawal of candidacy, 29 November
