Without a kidnapping, illicit love was forced to go out of the house with the help of an underwhelming boyfriend through Face book and fled to India. Police recovered journalist’s wife Monika radha Barua from India after seven months of disappearing from Chittagong. A person of Indian named Kamlesh Mallik was also arrested in this incident. Additional police commissioner Amena Begum said at a press conference held at the CMP office of the city’s Damparha on Thursday noon.

Monica disappeared from the house of Lalkhan Bazar in the city on April 12. Later, when his lawyer Debashish Barua filed a case with the police, the police investigated and found that Monika is with Kamlesh, an Indian resident of Calcutta, India. Monica Radha is a familiar face in Chittagong. She is the wife of journalist Debasish Barua and music teacher of Chittagong Little Jeweles School. She is the mother of two daughters.
On 4 November, Kamalesh came to Dhaka for business and arrested him. Then with the help of the Indian Police, through the various strategies, Monica was brought to Indian Border in Shatkira district to Chittagong.
Victim Manika of Jigashabad police said, she married Kamalesh, they are living in their own flat in Kolkata. Additional police commissioner Amena Begum also said that the next steps will be taken in court today as per the court order.
