Rotary Club of Islamabad debate dr.Nishat currently global warming has become a challenge for the country

Former Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University, Professor Emiritas, a renowned environmental scientist and water expert. Ainun Nishat said that if the global warming is not prevented, the salinity of the coastal areas of Bangladesh will increase rapidly. As a result the people of the coastal areas will be city-wide. He was speaking as the chief guest at the 29th inauguration ceremony of Rotary Club of Islamabad, Chittagong in a local hotel on Monday evening. He said that in the 1970’s, 1.5 million people died in cyclone storm surge. In the current cyclone storm, 50 people are also suspected of death because we have already learned to deal with cyclone, tidal surge. There is a 15-foot barrage in the coastal areas across the country; the process of increasing the height is underway. At present, global warming has become a challenge for Bangladesh. Winter does not get cold; Global warming problems such as drought, overcrowding etc. With no rain in the right time, the mango yields decreased in Rajshahi. In the month of Agrahayan, the crop is damaged by heavy rain. Due to the unstable behavior of nature, crop production is declining. It is a reaction on animals, insects. Economy will be affected if food importer is a food exporter country.
The United States and China are the two countries responsible for the increase in global warming. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh has been playing a very strong role in the world. Scientists have calculated that if the global warming is not limited to 20 centrifuges, there will be a great danger in future. There is a possibility that a global agreement on the global climate change program will be signed in December, in relation to the global warming control program, and the determination of the reduction in carbon dioxide emissions for member countries.
The president of the club, Rotaryan Mahfuzur Rahman, handed over the president of Rotaryan Javed Iqbal, the president of the country. Chairman of the Abhishek Committee, Chairman Rotary Engineer MA Hannan inaugurated the program. Special Guest Rotary District Governor Dilanashis Mohsin called on Rotarians to make more contribution to the service of the neglected people of the society. Special awards were given to ‘Ekushey Padak’ award-winning paternalist Rotarian Ustad Azizul Islam. At the program MA Awal, Aminuzzaman Bhuiyan, Professor Dr. Tayeb Chowdhury, deputy governor Shahjahan, Assistant Governor Mujahid bin Alam, Zonal Co-ordinator Rezwan Shahedi greeted the people.
