Banshkhali cadre union chairman leaked arrested

Police have arrested Union Parishad Chairman Lekat Ali, accused in the case of land acquisition in Banskhali, two years ago.
Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operation) Amena Begum said a team of city detective police arrested Lekak from the city’s railway station area on Tuesday night. After the interrogation, legal action will be taken.
Four people were killed in a clash between the parties on April 4, 2016 in the acquisition of land for setting up coal-based power plants in 600 acres of land at Baghorna under Gammara union of Banskhali upazila. At that time, four cases were filed against the chairman of the Coal Power Plant led by Leader of Opposition. Moreover, at least 20 cases have been filed against Lekak, including murder, sabotage, illegal arms, and district police officials said
