BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), has been suffering from cold fever for the last few days. In the last two days, due to increased cold cough, his chest was scanned in the city yesterday. BSMMU Director (Hospital) Brigadier General Dr. Abdullah-al-Haroon said that Khaleda Zia’s Chest City scan ended on around 2.30am. After the CT scan, Khaleda Zia was again taken to the cabin block 612. Dr. Abdullah-al-Haroon said that he is admitted here, routine checkup is going on, drinking medicines.
However, Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Secretary General Z Z M Zahid Hossain said that due to the physiotherapy of the hospital, Khaleda Zia’s shoulder and hand pains were slightly reduced. But it has increased in the last two days. He complained, we are not allowed to go around Khaleda Zia.
Earlier, on 6th October, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was admitted from the old Central Jail to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for better treatment. He has been kept in VVIP cabin 611 University of the International Medicine Department Professor Dr. Md. He was admitted under Abdul Jalil Chowdhury.
