After contract completion of the project, contracting institutions could not complete the work even after more than one time. The residents of the area, including the school-going Komalmati children, have long been living in the streets due to road and earth scandals.
This project has been given to M / s Wahid Builders. Work contract cost was calculated as 58 lakh 6 thousand 834 rupees. The contractor, which could not complete the work, yet, has been unable to complete the work. Established in almost three acres, there are about 500 families living in 70 plots in Banani Housing. There are also two schools and colleges and two madrassas. On 17th August, 2017, MP Moin Uddin Badal and local councilor Kafil Uddin Khan formally inaugurated the work.
Banani Housing Owners Association Kalyan Association Shamsul Alam said that the work on completion of the project on 10th July, 2017 and the completion of the project on December 10, 2017. But after 10 months of the expiration, the work is not completed and we have a huge problem in our travel. There are four schools and madrasas in this Banani Housing. Keeping the stones and soil on the road, the children are having trouble with the education institutions. Accidents can happen at any time.
Shamsul Alam also said that the contractor firm M / s Waheed Builders did not do much significant work even after taking more than one time from us. Contracting firm owner when talking to Abdullah, he is unable to work due to financial crisis. The condition of the road was that it was not suitable for rickshaws so far. A few days ago we made soil suitable for rickshaw movement.
Rezaul, manager of the contractor firm M / s Wahid Builders, said that the city corporation could not get the work done due to lack of allocation from the corporation. The company has been forced to shut down the main projects due to non-payment of money. Work will start within next week and work will be completed within this month.
