After a long 27 years the Shipping Corporation of Bangladesh formally handed over the ‘MV Bangar Joyjatra’

Shipping Corporation (BSC) has formally handed over the ‘MV Bangar Joyjatra’ ,which was handed over to the supplier on Saturday noon on Saturday.
Yesterday, a different event was organized in the ship on the outskirts. Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan was present in the meeting. Besides, officials of the shipping ministry and Bangladesh Shipping Corporation’s Managing Director, Commodore Yahya Syed and Chinese National Machinery Export and Export Corporation officials were also present.
In July, Chinese National Machinery Export and Export Corporation (CMC) provided the ship of MV Bangla ship. This ship was built at the Shipyard Jiangsu New York Shipbuilding Company Limited in Waxi town in Jiangsu Province. After the arrival of the country was empty, the fixed operating cost (FOC) was very costly. To save it, a company on the basis of this FOC was given. Under their supervision, it has made 27,000 metric tons of stone on 20 September from the Fujairah Port of the United Arab Emirates. Ship Handling Operator Institution of Bangladesh International Shipping Corporation has been appointed for stevedoring of the ship’s inventory. Hasan Mahmud Chowdhury, Managing Director of the company said that we are proud to be the sweet daring of the newly added new fleet of national flag carrier BSC. All steps have been taken to complete the activities of the stevedoring activities. He said the product has been started from Thursday. Draft of 180 meter long vessel is 10.5 meters. The five hedges ships will be able to transport 38 thousand 894 tons of cargo or open goods. Cement Clinkers, Wheat, Coal, Rice, Dal, Chola, etc., these raw materials are transported. For loading and unloading of these products, the vessel has 3 tons of 30 tons capacity and one crane of 35 tons capacity. This is one of the 6 vessels of BSC to be built in China Exim Bank loan. Its capacity is 39 thousand deadweight tons. The other five are: ‘The prosperity of Bengal’, ‘The achievement of Bengal’, the advance of Bengal ‘, the precursor of Bengal’, and ‘Progress of Bengal.’ Total cost of construction is 1843 crores. Meanwhile, China Exim Bank has given Tk 1448 crore the remaining Tk 395 crore has been given from the organization’s own fund. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Chinese government company, China National Machinery Export and Export Corporation (BSC), was signed in June 2012.
