Awami League Presidium member and Minister for Home and Public Works Engineer Mosharraf Hossain alleged that the media did not preach the news of a meeting in the Azadi market, and the success of the remaining four passports was not being propagated in the same manner. He said these things at a press conference in the VIP lounge of Chittagong Press Club on Friday noon. The minister said, in the Fatikchhari Azadi market, a handful of vendetta slogans were trying to ruin the environment. I said it is not a meeting to determine the candidate the roadmap for the development of the government and Prime Minister’s development programs. Even after the request, the slogan did not stop, I went angry without speaking. Media wrote it in a fictitious way. But the other four successful publications did not broadcast any news. In the meeting, the minister also displayed a video picture taken on mobile to show the widespread public meeting.
It is to be noted that, on the previous Thursday, the minister was made the chief guest and in the five places in Fatikchhari upazila, the North District Awami League organized a roadside rally. When the chaos situation was created in the upazila market in the Azadi market, the minister left the meeting without disturbing the statement. Conflicting leaders and activists gathered in the fight. Besides, a temporary platform for vandalism was also vandalized in Najirhat. But then the minister was not there. After the police brought the situation under control, engineer Mosharraf Hossain was present in the rally in Nazirhat, Bhujpur, Bibirhat and Hainako Bazar area.
Locals said that this incident happened during the clashes between Fatikchhari Upazila Awami League General Secretary Nazim Uddin Muhuri and former BCL leader Abu Tayeb’s followers. At the same time, it is believed that Najibul Bashar Maizbha-Iri, a member of Fatikchhari, elected for the 14-party alliance nomination.
When asked about the involvement of the activists at the rally, Engineer Mosharraf Hossain said, since the experience of politics, there is definitely the fuel. The Prime Minister will be informed about the confusion among the party, who are obstructing the developmental image of the people who are obstructing the reach of the people’s doorstep.
At the press conference, Fatikchhora former MPs candidate ATM Payarul Islam, general secretary of the district unit of the district AL MA Salam and other leaders of the upazila Awami League were present.
