Engineers to be made to sustainable development: VC
The 16th ‘University Day’ was celebrated in the festive atmosphere at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
On this occasion, a joyous rallies were brought out at 11 am in front of CUET administrative building yesterday (Monday). Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam During this time teachers, students, officers and employees participated in the rally with colorful banner-festoons. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam greeted everyone with the wishes of the 16th University Day, said, ‘Since the year 2009, visible development has been achieved across the country. Infrastructural development of CUET and modernization of laboratories have also been affected. The world is now moving towards the path of fourth industrial revolution. In that case, our engineers will have to be prepared keeping in mind the sustainable development. Our academic activities are being redesigned. Meanwhile, our university has introduced the fabrication lab. Which is called the Factory of Digital Manufacturing. Students will be able to produce any ideas of their creativity sitting here.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam also said, “Recently, annex has been allocated for the purchase of equipment worth Tk. 320 crore from the DPP of Tk. 100 crore. Hope the students will benefit if these projects are implemented ‘. He urged all to continue the continuous efforts of the CUET to advance the ongoing movement.
