Four H group-Diamond Cement Grand Masters chess: Fahad Rahman champion

FC Master Mohammed Fahad Rahman of Sonargaon Chess Club earned the honor of being the champion of the CJSC-Four H-Group-Diamond Cement Grand Masters Chess. In collaboration with Bangladesh Chess Federation, sponsored by Four H Group and Diamond Cement, organized by Chittagong District Sports Association and co-sponsored by Bonfool Group, 4 players earned by six points in the competition, the Grand Master of Saif Sporting Club, Grand Master Ziaur Rahman III in the tiebreaking method, India’s Grand Master And M Lalit Babu fourth, Saif Sports Mullah Abdullah Al Rakib fifth color and the Bengal Club, Grand Master Chess Grand Master Niaz Morshed Club won sixth place. Nileesh Saha seventh in the tie-breaking process by 6 points, International Md. Mohammad Minhaj Uddin, Bangladesh International Navy Chief, FIDE Master of Saif Sporting Club. Tayebur Rahman Ninth and Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society’s FIDE Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman got the tenth place. After the game, the prize distribution ceremony was held at 8pm at the Hotel Tower Inn. City Mayor and General Secretary of Chittagong District Sports Association, Alhaj Azm. Nasir Uddin distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong and President of Chittagong District Sports Association Mohammad Ilias Hossain, the program was presided over by Director of Diamond Cement Hakim Ali and GM Amanul Alam of Bonfool Group. The Secretary General of the Bangladesh Chess Federation and the Additional General Secretary of Chittagong District Sports Association Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim delivered welcome speech. The winners were given cash of five thousand US dollars, among which Champion Fide Master Fahad and runner-up international master Bala Chandra each received the award for $ 125.5 million.
