Shibir activists remanded to Sadarghat and Baklia Police Station

A Chittagong court has ordered 13 leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, detained in Sadarghat and Baklia thana for one day.Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Salam Mohammad filed a 10-day remand application for interrogation by police on Monday. Noman granted one day remand to each. The information has been confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Prosecution) Nirmalendu BKash Chakraborty

The accused are Yasin Ahad Imon (21), Qutub Uddin, 23, Ziaur Rahman, 22, Junaidul Islam, 21, Imin Hossain, 20, and Saifuddin Khaled, 24. Sajjad (20), Ruhul Kader (20), Meherajul Islam (18), Sabbir Hossain (25), Khorshed Alam (24), Md. Shakib (18) and Sajedul Karim (18).

On September 3, police conducted a drive in Sadarghat and Baklia thana and arrested 13 people. Then a case was filed against them with the Special Powers Act against them for alleged acts of sabotage.
