Police have arrested two people in connection with theft from the showroom of mobile dealer Mahbub Traders in Jahanara Plaza Market in Zero Point area of ​​Jaipurhat city. 195 valuable smartphones worth Tk 60 lakh and Tk 1 lakh 57 thousand were recovered in this incident.

Joypurhat Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdul Wahab gave this information in a press briefing in his conference room on Friday.

The arrested are Kabir Hossain, son of Rabbi of Tomtom Bridge area of ​​Comilla and Ripon, son of deceased Kuddus Ali of Ganganagar village of Devidar Upazila.

Superintendent of Police said that on Thursday morning, a group of thieves broke the lock of the main gate of Jahanara Plaza Market at Zero Point in Joypurhat city. Mahbub then cut several locks of Traders’ mobile showroom and stole the valuable smartphone. On receiving the information, the police arrested a person named Kabir. After that, according to the information given by him, 195 mobile phones were recovered from Panchmatha area of ​​Panchbibi including Ripon. The Superintendent of Police also said that efforts are being made to arrest other members of this gang.
