The 177th birth anniversary of Mir Musharraf Hossain, the greatest literary writer of the 19th century, the author of the timeless novel Bishad Sindhu, has been celebrated in Rajbari through various programs.
On the occasion of Mir Musharraf Hossain S 177th birth anniversary, wreaths were placed at his tomb in Nababbari village of Padmadi, Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari district on Wednesday (November 13) morning, Bangla Academy, district administration, upazila administration, Mir Musharraf Hossain Sahitya Parishad, Mir Musharraf Hossain College and various local literary and social organizations. organization

Literary Mir Musharraf Hossain was born on 13 November 1847 in Lahiripara area of Kushtia district. He died on 19 December 1911 in Padmadi village of Nawabpur union of Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari district. He was buried there.
Literary Mir Musharraf Hossain has written 37 books, dramas and poems including Ratnavati, Vasantakumari, Zamindar Darpan, Garai Brij or Gowri Setu, Ere Ayeiya Ki (farce) , Bishad Sindhu.
