17 demands of students to ensure good treatment and safety of patients

Students protested with 17 points of demand to ensure good treatment and safety of patients in public and private hospitals in Charfassion Bhola.
On Monday (September 9) at 11 o’clock, the students marched from the front of Charfassion Jakob Tower and stood at the Upazila Health Complex with these demands.  Later, family planning officer Dr. Shobhan Kumar Basak came to the upazila health complex and assured the students of reforms by communicating their logical demands with the higher officials.
At that time, the students mentioned in the 17-point demand that the doctor does not come to the chamber at the right time in the government hospital, so we want the doctor to be in the chamber from 8 am to 2:30 pm.  Duty to be performed as per roster.  All types of brokers including private brokers of doctors, diagnostic brokers, pharmacy brokers in government hospitals should be freed.  1 km from Government Hospital.  It cannot contain any diagnostics.  X-ray ultrasound and pathological tests should be done in the hospital within 24 hours.
Also emergency doctor safety laser and CCTV monitoring should be done.  Class III and IV employees have to change from upazila to upazila.  Proper monitoring should be done to ensure that all government supplied medicines are received properly by all patients.  Drug company representatives cannot meet with doctors at hospitals outside of specified hours, and cannot take pictures of patients’ prescriptions.  Test trade in private clinics should be stopped.  And incompetent nurses and technicians should be avoided.  100% cesarean delivery trade, and blood trade should be stopped and normal delivery should be ensured.
Recently, Central United Hospital and Diagnostic Center Gynecologist Dr. Akhin Akhter demanded proper investigation and action to be taken in the death of the mother due to wrong treatment.  And to ensure that no delivery mother dies due to any wrong treatment.
Charfassion upazila health and family planning officer Dr.  Shobhan Basak said, among the 17-point demands of the students, the CCTV monitoring system is already in place and those under my control will be reformed soon and I will try to make appropriate reforms by contacting the higher authorities in all matters.
