In order to continue the progress of youth, a marathon race was held in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar as part of the Youth Festival-2025 under the slogan ‘Come and change the country, let’s change the world’. Yusuf Jalal, a student of Teknaf Degree College, won the first place with a time of 41 minutes.The race was organized by the Teknaf Upazila Administration and in collaboration with Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) and Plan International Bangladesh.
A “marathon” was organized on Teknaf Marine Drive Road on Tuesday. The “marathon” with the participation of 100 youth from Teknaf Upazila started at 8:15 am from the field at Teknaf Pilot High School and ended at Sabrang Zero Point on Marine Drive Road at 9 am. Teknaf Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Sheikh Ehsan Uddin inaugurated the marathon. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Arif Ullah Nezami, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Habibur Rahman, IPSAR Project Coordinator Rashedul Karim and others were present on the occasion. Teknaf Upazila Executive Officer UNO Sheikh Ehsan Uddin said, marathon running is a way through which we can stay physically and mentally healthy and reduce mental stress.
