Yesterday, 18/03/2025 at approximately 19.50 hrs, an operational team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in the Kukutia Bazar area under Srinagar Police Station of Munshiganj district based on secret information. In the said operation, 02 drug dealers were arrested with 100 (one hundred) bottles of Phensidyl worth approximately 3,00,000/- (three lakhs) Taka while carrying drugs on a motorcycle and an easy bike. The names of the arrested drug dealers are 1. Md. Wasim Hawladar Baten (43), father- deceased Ismail Hawladar, resident- Daisar, Police Station- Srinagar, District- Munshiganj, 2. Md. Sohag Sheikh (23), father- Md. Islam, resident- Collegepara, Police Station- Srinagar, District- Munshiganj. At that time, the motorcycle and easy bike used to transport drugs were seized from them.
It is revealed that the two arrested accused are professional drug dealers. For some time now, they have been illegally collecting phensidyl and other drugs from various border areas of the country and supplying them to various areas of the country including Srinagar in MAunshiganj district on seized motorcycles and easy bikes.
A drug case has been registered against the two arrested persons and the process of handing them over to the concerned police station is under process.
